Mission
The mission of the National Center for Dental Hygiene Research & Practice, Inc. (NCDHRP, Center) is to promote the health of the public by fostering the development, implementation and dissemination of oral health research; establish an infrastructure to support dental hygiene research; and, strengthen the scientific foundation for the discipline of dental hygiene.
Goals
- Create and facilitate opportunities that promote leadership, research and scholarship among dental hygienists.
- Foster research efforts among dental hygienists that address the oral health of the public by increasing oral health literacy and decreasing oral health inequities.
- Promote the translation of research evidence so that it is meaningful and useful for the public and dental hygiene education and practice.
